A RESTAURANT building owned by former football star Craig Bellamy has been destroyed by a fire.
Diners and staff were evacuated from bar and grill The Deck near Cardiff as it went up in flames days after it reopened after lockdown. No one was hurt.
A restaurant on the site once run by former Wales and Newcastle striker Bellamy, 41, failed but he still owns the building and leased it to The Deck.
Bellamy bought the waterside eatery for £1.3million six years ago.
Firefighters spent two hours tackling the inferno on Penarth Marina, near Cardiff but confirmed there had been no casualties.
Stephen Doughty, MP for Cardiff South and Penarth said: “Just been down to speak to and thank police - fire out and all accounted for safely.
