Several brawls broke out at the concert - with footage shared on social media showing a man in a red shirt tussling with five security staff.

The bouncers plunged into the crowd to restrain the man, with his yells heard above the music.

He continued to shout threats into the crowd before he was led away - with a bloodied eye and a wound on his side.

One fan who was sat nearby commented on the footage: “I didn’t see what actually happened.

"I only found out afterwards that the lad said he had been stabbed."

Another eye witness posted: “It was awful - so many fights. We were seated in the white block and saw the fight but not the beforehand.”

The clip then cuts to a different section showing a young girl in jeans and sports bra also being led out of the venue ringed by security staff.

Multiple brawls erupted during the performance at the resort’s Open Air Theatre, according to people who were there.

Some spectators claimed that 999 services had even been preparing to activate a pre-prepared plan to evacuate the stadium but this was not put into effect.

It is understand one victim suffered a large cut to the stomach after being attacked in his seat during the July 20 gig.

N-Dubz posted official footage of the concert on their Twitter page, with a thank you to Scarborough - without mentioning the disturbances.

But social media users claimed there had been multiple fights, that many of the audience consisted of children and that the disturbances were fuelled by drink.

North Yorkshire Police said: “We're appealing for witnesses and information in relation to an assault that occurred during a music concert at the Scarborough Open Air Theatre.

“The incident occurred on Thursday 20 July 2023 at the N-Dubz concert. 

“A 29-year-old man who was sat in the white block seating area was assaulted, potentially with a sharp object.

“It happened during the interval between the warmup and the main act. The victim suffered minor injuries which were treated at the medical bay.

We're now requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.”

“The suspect is described as a white man, aged in their late 20s to early 30s. He may also have visited the concert accompanied by a woman."
