Lil Wayne is a liar who is not actually banned from NBA events, as he claimed over All-Star Weekend in Houston, the league said Tuesday.
NBA Senior Director of Basketball Communications Mark Broussard said there “no truth at all” to the claims Weezy made during a performance.
Wayne had told the crowd the NBA had banned him from all events because of his beef with the Miami Heat, stemming from an incident last week.
The rapper claims he was somehow kicked out of a Heat game for rooting for the visiting Los Angeles Lakers; the organization says he left voluntarily.
During the rant against the league, and the Heat, Wayne also boasted that he once had sex with Miami star Chris Bosh’s wife Adrienne Williams.
The Heat and the Bosh family have yet to directly address that part of his rant, although she did hint at it with a pair of inspirational re-tweets this week.
This isn’t Weezy’s first feud with the NBA or one of its franchises, nor the first time the 30-year-old’s version of events doesn’t mesh with reality.
Last year, he was hilariously denied entry by Oklahoma City because he had no ticket to a sold-out game, which he believed was a personal snub.
