HERE'S a cracking idea to get in the festive spirit - you can now buy Christmas crackers that contain double shots of GIN.
That's right, forget the naff pencil sharpener and oversized plastic paperclips, these fancy red and blue table crackers are a much better way to get the party started.

The Gin Party Crackers, sold by Hampshire-based company Drinks in Tube, come in a pack of six, with a range of three different English gins on offer.
The booze is stashed in a 50ml tube, and all the spirits are over 40 per cent proof.
As is traditional, the crackers also contain a paper crown and a "witty remark".
The three gins are Masons Yorkshire Dry Gin, characterised by fennel and green apple flavours with fresh bold citrus; juniper-based Chilgrove Dry Gin from Sussex, which carries floral notes and citrus botanicals, and Anno Dry Gin from Kent, boasting classic juniper and sweet spiced notes.

The company is also selling Yorkshire-based Masons Gin Christmas crackers featuring the Original spirit, the Tea edition - infused with Yorkshire Tea - and the Lavender flavour.
However, the party crackers don't come cheap, with a box retailing at £47.50.
As well as online, the crackers can be purchased at the Spirit of Christmas Fair at Olympia, London, between October 29 and November 4.
The event is dubbed the UK's biggest high-end Christmas gift shopping extravaganza, with 800 independent boutiques and interactive, expert-led workshops from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Royal Wedding florist Philippa Craddock and The Hummingbird Bakery.
